最近最火紅的英國廚藝實境節目是什麼？應該就是BBC的這個大不列顛烘培達人賽The Great British Bake Off第三季了。這個由素人參賽者組成的烘培競賽，在週末於風光明媚的戶外場地舉行，然後有著三階段的烘培大挑戰。每週會有一位獲勝者，還有一位被淘汰，就是很一般的實境節目，不是嗎？但是這個實境節目，有時候就是比某些美國實境節目溫馨一點，沒有那種你死我活的惡性競爭，反而多了很多溫馨且謙讓的風格。這一季的第一集，首先請大家做一個翻轉蛋糕，就是最好烤好需要翻轉過來呈盤的海綿蛋糕，充滿懸疑地是不在呈盤前翻面，根本不知道這會是大成功或是大失敗啊！而且叫我驚訝的是：這些英國人還真的烤出很多充滿巧思的創作蛋糕，各種風味叫人目不暇給，讓人忍不住想去官網查查這些食譜。第二階段就很殘酷了：技巧測驗。用很簡略的食譜，要大家做出很難的Rum Baba。這根本在考驗大家的廚藝敏感度：除非碰巧烤過這個甜點，否則就是在考驗味覺與烹飪直覺... 第三階段更是匪夷所思：烤一個要呈現切面有藝術感的蛋糕。這個考驗3D立體概念的蛋糕，不在於蛋糕外表的華麗度，而在於一刀對切後，會呈現出什麼樣的巧思。我必須說：那個可以把長方形白色方塊，切出英國國旗在內的那傢伙，真是讚透了！這真是一個超好看的廚藝實境節目，下一集要來烤麵包。媽媽咪呀！這不就要烘培十項全能？ (摘自Facebook Ambrose the Epicure 惡鬼閣樓觀點）
